Hands 2 Help: Summer Slices!

Confessions Of A Fabric Addict

A Layer Cake of Sunkissed from Sweetwater has been tucked in my stash waiting to come out and play, and the time has arrived.  I'm making a quilt for Happy Chemo as part of the Hands2Help Challenge.

First I sliced up my layer cake.

Then I swapped the slices around and sewed up some sweet blocks.

The blocks had a little trimming so they were perfectly squared and it was time to toss them on the wall and shuffle shuffle shuffle!  Lots of smiling while shuffling these lovelies.

Now that I have a final arrangement it's time to turn these summer slices into a very sweet quilt!

This is one of my favorite fabric lines ever--so happy and summery!  Love these colors, love the swirls and the text prints--So nice to work with on this dreary cloudy day!

Happy Stitching!

Staci, I love this quick block. I have a layer cake sitting around with no plans. I may need to make this one.
