Hi there! I'm back!
A new camera has landed at my house! I'm excited about it, but still learning how to use it. It's pretty similar to the camera that died, but there's always a learning curve, right? LOL!
Yesterday I pulled out a lovely layer cake of Wool & Needle Flannels II from Primitive Gatherings and whipped out a quilt top. Totally forgot to take a photo of the fabric before I began! The little quilt top is a Disappearing 9 Patch. Of course, it starts out with a 9 patch-- and in this case a really huge 9 patch since it was constructed of 10 inch squares! The center of each one was a light beige print, and has a red square on either side. I made 5 of these in total. (and I'm still figuring out how to shoot in low light)
Next of course, came the slicing and dicing and rearranging and sewing...... but I forgot to take any more photos once I got going. Just a few hours later I had this--The finished quilt top.
It measures about 56 x70.
A couple close ups so you can see how pretty the flannels really look. So soft and cuddly, too!
There were two pieces of purple in the layer cake, and I just love them!! I often find purple difficult to use, but I love the little bit of it in this quilt top.
This one will be a Christmas gift for a family member once it is all quilted up.
It's nice to be back!
I've got a couple other things to show you, once I take more photos. The shots I've done so far are not good! Must study and practice more!
Hope you have a really great weekend!
What are you up to? Are you sewing?
I'm hitting a quilt store today! Yay! Wonder what I'll wander home with..........hmmmmm.......
