A Lovely Finish for January

I'm happy to have my first finish for 2013!
click here for the group page!

After a lot, and I mean a LOT of searching I finally found the binding for my little dresden wall hanging, attached it and hand stitched it down.   Here's my finished mini quilt!

When I first saw this pattern I knew I just had to stitch it up for a particular friend of mine.
I hope she knows that it was stitched with much love!
The stitchery is a free pattern from Amy of Nana Company.  Click here for the pattern.

Little triangles were added to the back so a dowel could be used as a hanger.

Here's a closer peek!
And, yes, I will get out the lint roller and remove the cat fur before I give this to my friend!

I'm excited about the A Lovely Year of Finishes group, and have already decided what I'll do for February.  Hopefully the sun will peek out tomorrow so I can snap a photo of the ingredients for my next project.

Talk to you later, alligator!

It's so very pretty. Hey - what size squares do you use to put the hanging triangles in? I need to do that for the first time. I'm thinking they'll also work as magnet "pockets" to be able to put a mini up on a cabinet. . .

Beautiful dresden and tricky way to add the corners to hang it with a dowel, gotta try that! You should be on the Dare to Dresden Blog Hop.
