Before I show you my blocks, I want to complain a little bit. So, yesterday I stated my feelings about the new comment moderation on Blogger--I can't stand it! Apparently at least one person took offense that I had stated my opinion, and sent several snarky Anonymous emails basically telling me to mind my own business and that I must have something wrong with me to not love it! As if the emails were not enough, suddenly, and for the first time in the history of my almost two year old blog, I started getting Anonymous Spam comments. All I can say is this: Dear Anonymous--Get a LIFE! Don't you have something better to do than harass a little quilting blog? What a sad person you must be!
I have turned on comment moderation until Anonymous grows tired and stops sending me 'Love Notes!" Your comments won't appear until I hit the publish button, so don't please feel discouraged and wonder what happened. Your comment will appear as soon as I check my email again, and yes, I am a compulsive email checker!
On to the fun part!
Just two blocks for February!
In Orange You Glad Bee Hive A we made Cotton Reel blocks for Aimee. Fast and fun! I'm toying with cutting up a bunch of my scraps and using this block as a leaders and enders project. Katie Jump Rope and Kaffee Fasset make an interesting combination, don't you think?
For Orange You Glad Bee Hive B we made the cutest scrappy pieced Pumpkin Blocks for Lisa!
Aren't these the cutest thing? I think everyone who made this block wants a pumpkin quilt now.
Squishy envelopes for March are already starting to arrive! This is the best kind of mail!
Happy Stitching!

Hey it's your blog, and you were not the only one who voiced the problem with the new word var... I have any anon set for spam - email and blog - and they are auto deleted within 12 hrs., so I don't even look at them.. That said - I just love the blocks, especially the pumpkin - how cute is that!! I don't think I have seen this setting before and why not a log cabin for a pumpkin - just too cute. Blog on sweetie!
I have also turned off Word Verification and did trial Comment Moderation but had so much span IMMEDIATELY that I went back and took Comment Moderation OFF and instead checked Registered Users in the WHO CAN COMMENT box, instead of Anyone. I have not had any spam since. I'm not sure if this stops any of my followers leaving comments but I have asked for direct emails if they are unable to leave a comment.
All of this is such a pain, that's for sure! but I'm sure my followers will get used to it all:-)
Happy Sewing!!
Such beautiful blocks too! Aimee's was so nice to make...and I think the pumpkins are just adorable!!!
I love this bee....thanks Staci!
The pumpkin block is just darling -love it :)
Love the pumpkin! PS. I hate that word verification, too.
Love the pumpkin! PS. I hate that word verification, too.
love the pumpkin! Sorry you are having hassle - guess there is an advantage to being a wee blog
I love the pumpkin block. Was it from a pattern or her own design? (I have a ton of oranges that would make an awesome autumn quilt).
Your didn't say anything bad - why would anyone be upset??? I've only had 2 spams since I turned mine off, so I'll leave it off for now. LOVE your pumpkin block!!
Those are great! I especially love the pumpkin blog.
I promise to be good......I love the blocks......and the color orange, aren't you glad you use it! (trying to lift you spirits) Beside your quilts, I do love reading your blog!
Bring it on Girl...you are not alone!! I have noticed that word verification now hasn't got that annoying white on black bit so I can read them a little bit better. You write what you want, it's your blog, if it bothers someone that much then they don't have to read it. Hugs
I have had a crazy anonymous spammer also...mine was evidently computer generated by some piece of metal in Japan or China...whatever!!
I turned off the anonymous comment section and no more spam!
Some people out there just don't get it! Like you said, 'can't they just leave your little ole blog along already'. Love your site anyway!!
People are weird :/
I've been word verification free since I started blogging. It's just easier for everyone :)
Love the pumpkin block, that is too cute!
Cute Bee Blocks. Hit that Delete button and change to NO ANNON comments. I've not had any trouble with that setting. Sorry someone had to be so rude. They really do need a life!
