When I left you yesterday, I mentioned that a sudden thought pulled me right out of my happy, nearly asleep, dreaming-of-quilting-state after my $5 a yard shopping spree at Mulqueen. It was one of those, "Oh No!" moments. You see, I had forgotten something important. 15 yards worth of important. I bought fabric online right before we left town. I had totally spaced it! Seriously--how do you forget buying this much fabric?? If I would have remembered, I wouldn't have been fabric shopping, sale or no! So, my fabric budget is well and truly blown!
How could I have forgotten this fabric? It is so fabulous! It is Summersault by Erin McMorris!
I found a 40% off code for it from Fat Quarter Shop. I've spent months drooling over it since the first photos started showing up online, but I was a good girl and resisted temptation. When I found that coupon code, oh yeah, I was glad I had resisted. I would say it took me about 2.5 seconds to open the FQS site and start loading up the shopping cart. My first thought was to go for the pink and orange, but the more I looked at it all, the more I realized it is the blue colorway that I love best. Picked up a few of the lime greens to give a little variety to the the stack. Bought yard pieces of the prints in the center and 2 yard pieces of the large prints at the top and bottom. I think someday there will be some solids mixed in. Yep, someday. . . because--
What will this be? No idea. This is quite simply a stash purchase. One of those fabric lines that I knew I'd kick myself if I let slip past me. I think using it might be a bit challenging, as 5 of the prints are directional, but Gee, I think I'll make the sacrifice! =)
SISTER IN LAW and I did some sewing last week. Really stinkin' cute sewing! I am eager to show it to you, but I need to give it a press and some attention first, but I think I'll be able to show you tomorrow! Get ready for CUTE!! And we had so much fun sewing together. Wish we lived closer to each other so it could happen regularly.
Happy Stitching!

Fat Quarter Shop and their sales blow my budget all the time. Right now they are having an amazing sale which I am trying to resist, but I woke up this morning thinking "maybe just one fat quarter bundle".
OOps. =) At least you have a bundle of beautiful fabrics to work with! =) They are fun prints!
What a happy mistake!
Beautiful fabric! Maybe it was a case of out of site, out of mind?
You can never have too much fabric, so just get busy stitching!
I can't think of anything better to spend money on than gorgeous fabrics. You're being patriotic and helping the economy while simultaneously giving yourself a lift. Good job!
$5 a yard? 40% off? No fussing allowed! Just spread it all out on the floor and roll in it. I would have made a fool of myself if I found fabric for $5 a yard. I did that anyway with the Fat Quarter Shop's current sale. I should really get someting akin to frequent flyer miles with that place. And you should pat yourself on the back for finding such good deals!
